Sensual Yoga is a form of bodywork based on feminine principles. In a society that is all about faster, always more, doing and achieving, this practice is a true antidote to stress, burnout and a lack of connection to feminine power.

About

Hello, my name is Rose....

The question of how to live my feminine energy embodied is why I developed Sensual Yoga . It is a never-ending deepening journey of discovery in which I would love to meet you.

I am a mother of two beautiful daughters, Mara (2016) and Elisa (2017) and contribute with love and passion to rediscovering and empowering the feminine energy in ourselves and in the world. I see it as my mission to bring back the sacredness around womanhood, motherhood, sexuality and relationships.

A deep love for the Earth and a longing to feel completely at home here are what drive me. Nothing is more fulfilling to me than fully experiencing life and everything that comes with it. We are living in a special time in which, for the first time in generations, we have the opportunity to truly embrace old pain, anger, fear, frustration, and so on, so that it need not be passed on and we can become increasingly free. We are discovering and creating new possibilities in how we relate to our bodies, relationships, and sexuality. What would it be like if we were to remember the innocence and sacredness of being a woman, being a mother, sexuality, and relationships?

I have a background as a classical pianist. Throughout my life I have been searching for how music and life can move more freely through me. How I can surrender to the mystery that is life. This search brought me -in addition to the stage- to silent retreats, body-centered trauma work, tantra, alexander technique and more. In Sensual Yoga , I found a practice that brings together life energy and stillness. A place where congealed anger and heaviness can transform into clear delineation and grounding. I have been drawn to spirituality since I was in my twenties and have explored many different paths within it. I have completed training and courses in bodywork, tantra, massage, dance, trauma work, authentic relating, and more. Later, my path became more centered through meditation and silent retreats, and for a time I followed teachers in the field of non-duality. Bodywork and silence practice have found balance within me. Since 2012, I have been helping people in my practice to connect more deeply with their bodies and their souls through holistic massage, meditation, and bodywork. Sensual Yoga into my life about 7 years ago, and in it I feel the flowing feminine and the masculine foundation within me coming together.

After years of keeping pace with the fast-paced rhythm of life, I decided to change course. I longed for more connection and depth. On my journey of self-discovery, I found my passion: guiding people toward greater intimacy, self-love, and authenticity. To me, Sensual Yoga like an ode to the primal woman. It has helped me to better sense my body and my boundaries, to give space to my pelvic strength and fire, and to follow my sensual flow. This makes me feel more grounded and powerful. I completed the first Sensual Yoga (’25/’26) and am now part of the team. In my one-on-one sessions and group work, I combine coaching, tantra, and Sensual Yoga support people in coming home to themselves.

Laura Douwes

Sensual yoga me time and again to reconnect with my flow, to regulate myself, to turn my attention inward, to meet myself in all that is, and to lovingly come home to myself. Gently shaking loose what is stuck or, conversely, tapping into my primal power. This method is truly a source of support for me and a practice I want to continue for the rest of my life. I thoroughly enjoyed completing the first SY teacher training (highly recommended), and I now help support and spread this work with great love. I also offer Holistic Massage Therapy and Yin Yoga under the name Loving Space. My life and work are rooted in Tantra, meditation, non-duality, women’s work, and relational/emotional process work.

Sensual Yoga is a yoga form designed specifically for women, unlike many other yoga forms. We hardly work with traditional asanas, but with exercises tailored to what a woman's body needs so you can come home in it. The exercises are innovative and strengthen the female strength in your pelvis.

Embody your feminine power consists of 10 different lessons between 30- 75 minutes. The lessons are built around different themes. So there is always a lesson that suits you.
